Scripture Collection 4: Peace

We hear a lot about peace in the world around us: people want global peace, others try to be peacemakers to stop conflict - and then we also find God talking about peace in His Word. As His followers, we're called to live in peace and have been promised peace as a blessing from Him. But what does it look like to live and walk in God's peace in our lives?

There are many Scriptures that talk about the peace of God, so I'd encourage you to look more up on your own, but here's ten verses that encourage me to walk in the peace God offers to us.

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 4:6-7

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You. Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock. ~Isaiah 26:3-4

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty... He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark. ~Psalm 91:1, 4

"I have told you all these things so that you may have peace in Me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." ~John 16:33

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul. ~Psalm 23:1-3

Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for Him to act. ~Psalm 37:7

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. ~Colossians 3:15
