Blog Update 7/22/2020: New Posting Ideas!

Hi y'all!

In this post, I will be updating you on my prospective plans for this blog and waiting to see what your feedback is. :D

While trying to figure out what to do with my summer, I remembered I have this blog and that I've admittedly been neglecting it. After remembering this, I decided it would be fun to try being a bit more active on my blog! So after asking a few of my OYAN writer friends for advice, I thought I would start a "Short Story Sunday". This would be where every Sunday, I post a short story written specifically for your enjoyment and if you like, discussion. I think that it would be fun and would be a good way for me to practice writing while also getting new content for my blog.

I also thought I could do something like a "Favorite Five Friday" where I pick out five books, movies, or songs that I really like and say a few lines about why I like each one. Kind of like a book or movie review, but simplified.

Of course, I would also have my usual little writing tips posts where I would share what I've learned about writing. I don't think I'll set a specific day for these because 1) I don't want to pack my schedule too much and 2) I feel better about posting my tips when I will enjoy it, because then I'm a bit more likely to give my own unique opinion.

Lastly for now, I thought I might have a guest post exchange with other OYANers who are also writing bloggers. This would be a way for both of us to help direct some traffic to each others' blogs and I already have a few people who've said they would be willing to do this.
